Abigail McNeely is a Licensed Master Social Worker, Advanced Clinical Practitioner in the state of Texas. She ha a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas, Austin - Hook-em-Horns! She is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Psychology with Capella University, with an emphasis in Counseling Psychology.

Clinically, she works with a general adolescent and adult population, seeing clients with a variety of issues. Abigail has over twelve years of experience working with clients in individual, family, and group settings.

Special interests include crisis response, mood disorders, lesbian & gay issues, chemical dependency, and life transitions. Theoretically, she works from cognitive-behavioral, psychosocial and humanistic perspectives, employing a variety of techniques to help clients accomplish their goals.

In addition to practicing therapy, Abigail teaches at the Austin Community College. She finds that teaching and therapy complement each other very well and motivates her to keep up with changes in the world and the field of psychotherapy.
